Payments for sessions are required at the time of the appointment, by credit card, e-transfer or cash. You will be provided with a receipt. There is no GST/HST in Ontario for RSW/MSW services. At this time I am unable to accept debit payments and I do not provide direct billing.

Counselling services by Registered Social Workers (RSW) are not covered by Ontario Health Insurance (OHIP). However, if you have extended health benefits through your employer your extended health benefits may provide coverage for RSW services. Please contact your benefit provider to confidentially inquire about your coverage.

 

Additionally, Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) views Social Work services as a claimable medical expense for income tax purposes.
